Compassion Centred Weight Loss educates and empowers you to understand your desire for weight loss and how to achieve this in a way that is informed, safe and sustainable.

We have taken this method through a two stage research.

Compassion Centred Weight loss is available via our online platform and our app; it consists of 12 main steps broken down into easy to absorb bite size chunks. After each step you will be give you weekly goals to gently build sustainable weight loss habits.

 

Each step is in written format and audio, so you can choose how you would like to learn. Compassion Centred Weight Loss is interactive, after each mini step you will be met with prompts to support you to tune in an integrate the guidance into your everyday life.

We include resources such as example meals plans, recipe books, meditations, coping skills guides,  worksheets and journal prompts to give you easy to access tools to use. 

We also invite you to send questions in for our monthly Q&As so we can support you along your journey.

Safety - Planning - Understanding 

During steps one to three you will learn how to find a healthy weight, how to maintain a healthy relationship with dieting and understand weight stigma. You will explore nutrition and how to build nutritious and delicious meals as well as adapt example meal plans. You will understand the science of weight loss, exploring hunger and satiety and understand why fad diets are harmful. You will introduce a gentle goal or two each week to work towards your goals.

Measuring - Changing - Exploring

During steps four to six you will explore whether self weighing is right for you and learn many other ways to measure progress. You will explore movement options and learn practical nutrition tips to implement when shopping, cooking or when eating out. You will explore emotional eating and learn new coping skills to support you to tolerate distress without turning to food. You will introduce a gentle goal or two each week to work towards your goals.

Creating - Understanding - Building

During sessions seven to nine you will understand how to build a sense of self worth away from body image or eating behaviours, learn mindful eating behaviours and reframe unhelpful beliefs. You will explore body image and learn how to establish body neutrality without judgement and understand what to do to support yourself on bad body image days. You will introduce a gentle goal or two each week to work towards your goals.

Dieting - Questioning - Reflecting 

During the final three lessons you will explore dieting away from diet culture and what the impact of diet culture is. You will learn the answers to commonly asked questions around the menstrual cycle, weight loss stalling and coping with cravings. Finally you will reflect on progress and create a gentle plan to move forwards to continue weight loss safely. You will introduce a gentle goal or two each week to work towards your goals.

Weight loss is about so much more than "eating less and moving more" which is why we work holistically with mind, body and soul. We empower you to make changes from a place of self care, not self punishment.
