Easy blended oats

My littles are not fans of the texture of porridge, but these are always a win; and a balance of wholegrain carbohydrates, protein, fats and antioxidants to nourish our bodies and brains.

Ingredients (makes two-three servings)

🌱 1.5 cups oats

🌱 1.5 cups Greek yoghurt

🌱 1.5 cups milk

🌱 3tbsp. chia jam (we used rasberry)*

🌱 1 cup raspberries

🌱 3tsp peanut butter

Optional

🌱 1-2 dates (if you like a sweeter taste)

🌱 1 tbsp. peanut butter with 1tsp coconut oil for topping

🌱 Pecans / coconut / almonds / seeds / raisins / chocolate drops to taste!

Method

We like to keep things simple here

1. Blend oats to a flour consistency.

2. Add greek yoghurt and milk and blend again

3. Add berries and jam to the bottom of jars and top with blended oat and yoghurt mixture

4. Melt coconut oil and peanut butter and add on top of jars

5. Put lids on and leave overnight

Also delicious topped with melted chocolate as a dessert 🍫

*Normal jam would be fine here; we don’t offer refined sugar before two years and then limit it due to it impacting our children’s behaviour 🤪, you know what is best for you and your child/ren ❤️
